The University of Illinois has named Lee Kantz as Chief Marketing Officer for the new Global Campus at U of I. Global Campus is an exciting new venture which will offer comprehensive online degree programs. The virtual university will significantly expand the University’s reach in higher education services.

Mr. Kantz will assume responsibility for the organization and on-going operation of the marketing function and will serve as one of the key members of the senior leadership team directing the University’s distance learning initiatives.

Mr. Kantz comes to Global Campus from Monster.com where he was the Diretor of Learning Products, managing the company’s educational directories business. His extensive experience and superior management, marketing and technology skills will be instrumental in developing and promoting quality online programming for the University.

Southern Illinois University School of Medicine in Springfield, IL has named Dr. Ricardo Loret de Mola as their new Chair of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Dr. Loret de Mola will assume responsibility for the overall development, implementation and evaluation of undergraduate medical education for Obstetrics and Gynecology and total responsibility for graduate education programs as Director of the Residency Program, including the divisions of General Obstetrics and Gynecology, Gynecologic Oncology, Maternal Fetal Medicine, and Reproductive Endocrinology. In addition, he will be responsible for leading the administration of department operations and developing a vision and strategic plan to align the Department’s growth with community need.

Loret de Mola comes to SIU from Case Western Reserve University where he was the Division Chief for Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. He also served as the Director of multiple fertility programs at Case.

Dr. Loret de Mola is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Division of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. He has won numerous awards for leadership in his field and has repeatedly been honored as an outstanding physician in both regional and national rankings.

Kevin Wheeler, an expert in the field of leadership and recruitment, visited Koppen Group on May 3rd to share his expertise and insight on the future of recruiting with more than 50 area business leaders.

Mr. Wheeler is an author, teacher, consultant and speaker. He is President of Global Learning Resource, Inc., a Fremont, California based consulting company that helps organizations attract and build world-class talent through improvements in their human resource strategies, leadership development programs and recruiting functions. Kevin has been a research affiliate at SRI International and a research affiliate at the Institute for the Future in Menlo Park, CA. He has headed talent acquisition function globally and was a SVP for Staffing and Workforce Development at the Charles Schwab Corporation. He is the founder of two corporate universities. He has an extensive national and international consulting practice with such organizations as Yahoo, Eli Lilly, Corning, Inc., Starbucks Coffee Company, Edwards Lifesciences, Federated Department Stores, and BP, as well as with organizations in China, New Zealand, Australia and El Salvador.
